With more than a decade of experience, Shavonne is a passionate physiotherapist dedicated to helping people move better and live life to the fullest.
Her approach is rooted in providing a holistic, movement-based approach to care. She has a special interest in women’s health physiotherapy, supporting women through all phases of life, including pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and pelvic health challenges.
Outside of the practice, you will find her enjoying a run, relaxing at the beach, playing the double bass, or spending time with her husband and two daughters.
Education
She obtained her Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy from the University of the Free State in 2011. She has since completed postgraduate training in various topics, including dry needling, strapping, sports physiotherapy, women’s health, and advanced Pilates (mat and apparatus).
Career
Her career began with work in private practice and at the Military Hospital in Bloemfontein.
In 2023, she relocated to Hermanus, where she established her practice. She offers treatment for a wide range of conditions, including orthopedic and post-surgical rehabilitation, sports and musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, and chest physiotherapy.
She also has experience in intensive care and hospital-based physiotherapy and is registered with Workability’s Chronic Back and Neck Pain Program (BNAP).
