About

With 17 years of experience in physiotherapy, Harry is dedicated to helping patients restore function, manage pain, and reclaim their quality of life.

His approach is rooted in a thorough assessment, evidence-based treatment, and a deep belief in the body’s innate ability to heal.

He specialises in musculoskeletal therapy, spinal rehabilitation, and post-operative recovery, always seeking the root cause of dysfunction rather than just treating symptoms.

He is also passionate about a holistic approach, balancing physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being for true healing.

When he is not in the clinic, you will find him at the piano, conducting the orchestra, or hiking the trails of Hermanus.

Education

He obtained his Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy from the University of the Free State (UFS) in 2008. He went on to earn an Advanced Diploma in Cardio-Respiratory Care in 2016 and a Professional Master’s in Pulmonary Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation in 2023.

Career

His career began with a community service year at Pelonomi Regional Hospital, an academic training hospital where he supervised UFS physiotherapy students.

During this time, he developed expertise in advanced trauma orthopaedics and spinal cord injury rehabilitation.

In 2011, he relocated to Hermanus, where he expanded his practice into musculoskeletal therapy, pain management, and post-operative rehabilitation, while also continuing his work in intensive care physiotherapy.

Today, he combines hands-on manual therapy, alignment correction, and patient education to optimize recovery.

He remains actively involved in academia, supervising fourth-year physiotherapy students at the University of the Western Cape (UWC).

Professional Achievements

As a specialist in spinal cord injury rehab, trauma orthopaedics, and pulmonary rehabilitation, also has a special interest in pain management and body mechanics.

He is dedicated to lifelong learning, believing that if he doesn’t have the answer, he will find it.

A key part of his practice is a holistic care philosophy, which focuses on treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

He is also committed to mentoring future physiotherapists and is the conductor of the Whale Coast Symphony Orchestra, blending his passion for music with his commitment to the community.
